52027 Power+Plus Small Block Chevy V8 Vortec Crosswind Intake Manifold Polished

Polished finish. The Power+Plus CrossWind for the Vortec features the same plenum and runner design as the 52020/52021 and 52025/52026 manifolds. In this design the manifold is made wider to accommodate the Vortec design heads and also features the Vortec port configuration. The manifold also has a square bore carb pad to utilize the standard Holley, Carter and Edelbrock carburetors. utilize the standard Holley, Carter and Edelbrock carburetors. This manifold is intended for use on up through ‘95 blocks using the 1996 and later Vortec (Gen 1+) heads or Edelbrock E-Tec heads. It can also be used on ‘96 and later Vortec engines with some minor modifications.

The modification is not to the manifold itself. It just requires running a short section of heater hose from the pipe tapped hole in the front of the manifold to the 5/8" hose nipple on passenger's side of the water pump. The 1966 and later Vortec blocks do not have a water bypass in the block and this hose takes care of that issue.
