ARP's new "Speed Studs" (and companion "Speed Nuts") are so good that a large number of NASCAR teams in Spring Cup, Xfinity and Camping World Truck Series use them exclusively. They're made form heat-treated 200,000 psi chrome moly steel and feature precision J-form threads (formed after heat-treat for improved fatigue strength), exclusive nut-starter and bullet shape radius that all but eliminates cross-threading, shot-peening, special baked-on dry film lubricant (reduces possibility of galling and assures consistent clamp loads), and double magnaflux inspection.
