All Howards camshafts use the highest grade cores available. They are Rockwell checked and Parkerized to ensure quality control standards.
This Small Block Chevy cam is designed for 4/7 Swap, Small Base Circle, Oval track, Tight 1/4 - 3/8 mile tracks with 12.0:1+ compression & headers, Stock (O.E.) valve springs cannot be used, Ignition firing order must be changed to 1-8-7-3-6-5-4-2, Provisions for increased oiling recommended
