The difference is evident on the dyno and on the track. Mahle's ultra-flat ring flanks maximize ring-to-piston sealing. The top rings are positive twist ductile iron, barrel faced plasma-moly inlaid. The second rings are a reverse twist tapered faced cast iron. The oil rings are a 3-piece style and are offered in both standard and low tension.
